About this service

Seasonal influenza (flu) is a highly contagious respiratory illness that can cause serious complications, particularly in vulnerable groups. Annual flu vaccination is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and those around you. Our pharmacy offers NHS flu vaccination and Covid-19 Vaccination to all eligible patients as part of the national flu immunisation programme. We also offer private flu vaccination for those who do not qualify for a free NHS vaccine but still wish to be protected. Our trained vaccination team administers the vaccine quickly and professionally, and will conduct a brief pre-vaccination assessment to ensure it is appropriate for you.

What to expect

A short pre-vaccination assessment to confirm eligibility and check for any contraindications.

Administration of the flu vaccine by our trained vaccinator in a private, clinical setting.

Information about potential side effects and what to do if you have any concerns.

A brief observation period following the vaccine, in line with standard clinical practice.

Why Annual Flu Vaccination Is Important

Influenza viruses change from year to year, which is why a new vaccine is developed each season to match the strains expected to be in circulation. Getting vaccinated annually ensures your protection remains up to date. Beyond protecting yourself, vaccination helps reduce the spread of flu within the community, offering indirect protection to those who are unable to receive the vaccine due to age or medical conditions. Flu can be life-threatening for older adults, those with underlying health conditions, and very young children. If you develop flu-like symptoms that are severe or worsening, please contact your GP or NHS 111. In the event of difficulty breathing or other serious symptoms, call 999.
